TEACHING STUDENTS TO PAY IT FORWARD
3 on 3 YOUTH TOURNAMENT
WHERE BASKETBALL
MEETS COMMUNITY
Long Shots annual 3-on 3 youth basketball tournament — Co-hosted by B.Well Foundation and The Dojo — brings together coaches, community members and athletes to be competitive without a financial obligation.
Each of the five metro high schools received a $1,000 award from the event to begin an opportunity to pay it forward in their schools.
Supporting the students in this way will teach them valuable lessons in how to support and care for their own communities as they become active citizens in the years to come. Planting the seed now is essential in the development and progress of our community.

The city of Des Moines is forever in debt to B.Well and the Foundation. The basketball community in Des Moines especially. We can’t thank you enough for providing an opportunity to compete in Long Shots and for funding youth to travel for exposure camps they wouldn’t be able to attend otherwise.
Our community has long needed individuals to step up and provide these kids with opportunities like this. It promotes community
involvement, brotherhood and
sisterhood, and gives the kids an opportunity to do what they love: compete and play basketball.”
